Avatar the Last Airbender: The Tale of Two

Title: Avatar the Last Airbender: The Tale of Two
Fandom: Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra
Characters/Parings: No parings yet, characters are all OC's, however expect cameo's by Korra and Aang at some point because well, this is Avatar we are talking about. Asha POV. New Character
Rating: PG
Word Count: 306
Summary: The Avatar has always been one person, The Avatar can only be one person, the birth and rise of Soon and Asha: twin sisters who share a soul, changes everything.
A/N: I am posting these in the order that I wrote them. This means that they are NOT IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER. This is a side project and therefore it might never be complete. I don't plan on any of them (the stories) being very long at all. Each story is from the POV of one or both of the sisters.

Book: Water

The woman in front of them shouldn’t make either her nor her sister afraid, after all it’s not often you get to meet the granddaughter of the Avatar, but her smile is so off putting. Like she can see right though you, or disarm you with just a word. People say she’s the most powerful waterbender of her age and Asha isn’t going to argue that. But… the look on her face, it still throws her. Asha wants to slink off but Roku had told them that this woman wanted to meet them. So, under duress they had followed him. Now, in this little hut on the outskirts of Republic City they sat, sipping their tea while Asha tried not to panic.

Finally she spoke, “Long ago my grandmother, in the wake of the threat of bloodbending found a way to become immune to it. She asked me, when the new Avatar came, to pass on what she knew.” She smiled, “I doubt she knew that the one to replace her would be two.”

Beside her Soon snorted, “If there is a way to become immune why haven’t other people learned?”

The creepy smile never left the woman’s face, she sipped her tea and finally opened her eyes. In that moment her whole body changed, her eyes, unlike her smile, were kind, she could be no older than thirty but there was a wisdom in them that spoke of ages beyond her years. Asha was left breathless, next to her Soon swallowed, “It is only something the Avatar can accomplish, I have become resistant but even I eventually cave to the pressure of my blood being broken,” she paused, “Now drink the rest of your tea. And then I shall show you her notes.”

Asha took a sip of her tea and wondered what Roku had gotten them into.
